Energy Star, LEED and Sustainable Design

ENERGY STAR is the government-backed program for certifying energy-efficient buildings. MEA Consulting Engineers, Inc. is an Energy Star Partner assisting property owners and managers with the Energy Star verification and application process. We walk the property to verify general compliance of energy star requirements within representative spaces, including Ventilation, Thermal Comfort, Temperature and Lighting levels. We assist with the application, submit for certification, and interface with the EPA for any clarifications required to complete the application. Energy Star is an online tool for measuring and tracking energy and water use, providing insight into your building"s performance.  

MEA"s LEED Accredited Professionals can assist owners and architects with designing and certifying projects to various USGBC LEED standards. We are knowledgeable in the Green Building Rating System, developed by the U. S. Green Building Design Council and performed LEED program services on several buildings, including new buildings and large additions to existing buildings. MEA focuses on the most efficient operation system components; our typical designs meet or exceed the applicable energy performance standards, providing the owner with higher benefits in relation to energy conservation measured over the lifecycle of the building.
